HAMPTON, Va. — A Newport News man died from injuries suffered from a crash in Hampton on Sunday.
Carlitto Lamont Carmack, 42, died at the hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 12, Virginia State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya said.
It was around 2:58 a.m. when the crash happened. Carmack was driving a 2015 Honda Accord on Interstate 64 westbound, east of Mercury Boulevard.
He lost control of the car, ran off the road and hit a jersey wall.
Carmack was rushed to Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News where he died days later.
Anaya said alcohol was not a contributing factor in the crash. He was wearing his seatbelt.
His family members have been notified.
