YORK COUNTY, Va. — A York County man was arrested last week on nine felony counts of possession of child pornography, the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Deputies identified the suspect as Paul William Pyle, a 78-year-old man from Yorktown. He was arrested last Thursday.
According to the sheriff's office, the investigation began in May following an allegation that a York County resident possessed child pornography. An investigator allegedly found videos on Pyle's laptop that violate Virginia's child pornography laws.
Pyle is being held in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, the sheriff's office said.
