York Poquoson Courthouse reopens after morning bomb threat

A sheriff's spokesperson tells 13News Now the courthouse reopened around noon Wednesday.

YORKTOWN, Va. — The York-Poquoson Courthouse is back open after receiving a bomb threat on Wednesday morning.

"We are still investigating the situation and will keep everyone updated," the sheriff's office wrote on social media.

The courthouse was closed for about two hours before reopening around noon.

A spokesperson with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office told 13News Now that morning court cases have to be rescheduled for another time, but the afternoon court agenda will move forward as planned.

No information about the nature of the bomb threat has been released at this time.
