Suspect turns himself in weeks after deadly Suffolk shooting

The 24-year-old suspect was wanted on felony charges of attempted malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

SUFFOLK, Va. — A man wanted in connection to his brother's murder in Suffolk turned himself in to police, but authorities say there is still one suspect on the run.

In a release on Tuesday, the Suffolk Police Department (SPD) said 24-year-old Amir Knight was wanted on felony charges stemming from the deadly shooting on Blythewood Lane on May 9. Knight is facing felony charges for attempted malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The search is still on for 27-year-old Khalil McGlone, however. He is also accused of felony charges of attempted malicious wound and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

SPD believes there were multiple people at the shooting that claimed the life of 26-year-old Darrell Lamont Knight Jr. He was found shot multiple times and was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released details about the circumstances leading up to the tragic incident.
