PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man was shot in the area of Portsmouth's waterfront late Thursday night, police said.
The shooting happened in the 400 block of Water Street, which is near North Landing Park.
According to the Portsmouth Police Department, officers responded around 10:09 p.m. and found a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Medics took the victim to a hospital to be treated. In a statement Friday afternoon, Police Chief Stephen Jenkins wrote that the shooting followed a fight between two men and that police have an arrest warrant for Randall Bagley Jr., 47.
