"I'm gonna need all that" | Court docs reveal new info in VB Fox Creek homicide investigation

Javon Pollard, 19, is accused of shooting a man and fleeing the scene, then crashing his car and fleeing again.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Court documents have revealed new information about a homicide that happened Monday morning on Fox Creek Court in Virginia Beach.

Javon Pollard, 19, is charged with second-degree murder, unauthorized use of a firearm, robbery using a firearm and felony hit and run. Police arrested him on Tuesday. He's set to appear in court for his arraignment Wednesday afternoon.

In a criminal complaint obtained by 13News Now, police wrote they arrived at Fox Creek Court just after 9:30 a.m. to find Keyshawn Woodhouse, 20, shot. Woodhouse died at the scene.

Police obtained surveillance footage from the home where the shooting happened. They said the video showed Woodhouse, Pollard and the witness all standing outside. The video then showed Pollard pulling a gun on Woodhouse and saying, "I'm gonna need all that," according to court records.

The records continued by saying Woodhouse tried to run into the home, but Pollard shot him multiple times. After, Pollard was accused of running to his car and fleeing.

Pollard crashed about half a mile from the scene, near Baker Road and Lynbrook Landing, according to the complaint. Police said he hit another car, injured the driver and caused serious damage to the vehicle. They added the other driver was hospitalized. Pollard was accused of fleeing that scene as well. His vehicle was tracked to Portsmouth using Flock license plate reader cameras.

Portsmouth Police Department SWAT assisted VBPD with the arrest; Pollard was in custody less than 13 hours after the incident.

“This quick arrest is once again a testament to the incredible teamwork and dedication of your Virginia Beach Police Department," Police Chief Paul Neudigate stated in a news release after Pollard's arrest. "My thanks go out to our homicide, warrant fugitive, and special investigations detectives, along with the assistance of Portsmouth PD, who were able to bring some timely closure to the family of Mr. Woodhouse.”
