NORFOLK, Va. — With soggy weather in the Hampton Roads forecast, some weekend events have been canceled or postponed.

13News Now meteorologists say a low-pressure system is bringing chances for showers and possibly a few thunderstorms this weekend, with a wave of rain expected in the early Saturday morning and then picking up again for the afternoon and evening.

Neptune Spring Wine Festival at the Oceanfront

Organizers announced that Neptune's 19th annual Spring Wine Festival, originally scheduled for May 18, is canceled due to rain.

Wine Festival organizers said all tickets will be refunded by the buyer's original payment method within five to seven business days.

Family Fun Fest in James City County

James City County officials said the Family Fun Fest scheduled for Saturday has been canceled due to the chance of heavy rain.

"Weather conditions predicted this weekend will impact both set up and day of activities," officials wrote. "We apologize for the inconvenience."
