NORFOLK, Va. — A number of other weather advisories were in effect across Hampton Roads and parts of North Carolina on Friday afternoon and evening, including a Flood Warning and Tornado Watch.
The National Weather Service issued a Flood Warning until 12:30 a.m. Saturday for the following areas:
- City of Suffolk
- Isle of Wight County
- City of Franklin
- Gates County
- Chowan County
- Perquimans County
- Southampton County (Virginia)
An earlier Flash Flood Warning expired at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
A Tornado Watch also expired at 10 p.m., which had warned of wind gusts that could reach up to 70 mph across Hampton Roads and the Outer Banks, with a few tornadoes possible.
A Tornado Warning that was in place for Camden, Currituck, and Pasquotank counties expired at 6:15 p.m.
