2 vehicle crashes along Interstate 64 caused traffic issues on HRBT and in Norfolk

All the eastbound lanes of the Hampton-Roads Bridge-Tunnel between Hampton and Norfolk were closed due to a vehicle crash, according to VDOT.

NORFOLK, Va. — Those driving on Interstate 64 on the Southside may have run into some traffic backups Tuesday morning.

All the eastbound lanes of the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) between Hampton and Norfolk were closed due to a vehicle crash, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). Traffic backups were around two miles.

In Norfolk, a multi-vehicle crash near Tidewater Lane left the west left shoulder, left lane, left center lane and right center lane closed in the westbound lanes.
