Man arrested for making bomb threat to York-Poquoson courthouse

53-year-old Timothy Nettles now faces a felony bomb threat charge.

YORK COUNTY, Va. — A man has been arrested and charged for making a bomb threat in July, the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office said.

Timothy Nettles, 53, is now charged with threats to bomb, a Class 5 Felony.

On July 17, Nettles called the York-Poquoson Courthouse and made a bomb threat.

The courthouse was closed for about two hours that day while authorities investigated. Operations and court cases were delayed. 

Nettles is now incarcerated at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
