James City County police searching for counterfeit suspect

Police said they believe the man has also used counterfeit money at other businesses in the Williamsburg area.

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — Police are trying to identify a man accused of using counterfeit money at a grocery store in James City County.

Around 11:50 a.m. Thursday, a man attempted to pay with a fake $50 bill at the Food Lion at 5601 Richmond Road.

Surveillance cameras show the man in the store.

Police said they believe the man has also used counterfeit money at other businesses in the area.
