PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A woman has been transported to a local hospital following being shot near the 200 block of Chestnut Street, Portsmouth police say.
Officers responded to the shooting around 7:20 p.m. Sunday, locating a woman with a gunshot wound upon arrival.
The name of the victim and her condition have not yet been released.
