NORFOLK, Va. — A man was sentenced to five years in prison on Friday for the 2022 armed robbery of a Norfolk 7-Eleven.
The robbery happened on June 2, 2022, at a 7-Eleven store in the West Ocean View area of the city, according to the Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney Office.
37-year-old Quentin James and co-defendant Laquisha Nock entered the store on Maple Street. James was armed with a gun while Nock was armed with garden shears, prosecutors said.
The two approached the store clerk with weapons in hand and took her to the cash register where they forced her to open it, according to the CA. They then stole $75 from the register and ran off.
James pleaded guilty to armed robbery on October 17.
On October 31, Nock also pleaded guilty to robbery. She is set to be sentenced on January 12, 2024.
