NORFOLK, Va. — A man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges related to a robbery of a 7-Eleven in Norfolk last year, according to the Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.
The robbery happened on June 2, 2022, at a 7-Eleven store in the West Ocean View area of the city.
Quentin James, 37, was armed with a gun and a co-defendant with garden shears when they entered the store, which is on Maple Street, prosecutors said.
The two approached the store clerk with weapons in hand and took her to the cash register where they forced her to open it, according to the CA. They then stole $75 from the register and ran off.
On Tuesday, James pleaded guilty to armed robbery, and Judge Everett A. Martin Jr. accepted his plea.
James is scheduled to be sentenced on December 22.
