HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton police are investigating a homicide in the 500 block of Old Buckroe Road.
Around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, police were notified of a shooting on Old Buckroe Road.
Once at the scene, a man was located with life-threatening gunshot wounds, police confirmed. Life-saving efforts were attempted but unsuccessful. Hampton’s Fire and Rescue Division pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
In a later release on Monday, officials identified the victim as 26-year-old Martez Corey.
