HAMPTON, Va. — The suspect in a deadly shooting at a Hampton Wingstop in mid-February has been arrested, police said.
25-year-old Isaiah Daqwon Harris of Newport News was taken into custody Thursday on charges of second-degree murder, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and shooting inside an occupied building.
Harris was on the run in connection to the murder of 29-year-old Travell "Trey" Giles of Newport News, who was shot on February 14 inside Wingstop on Coliseum Crossing near Peninsula Town Center.
Harris was known to frequent the East End of Newport News and wears his hair either pulled back or as an afro.
Investigators believe Giles and Harris, who knew each other, were involved in an argument inside the business where they had both worked. During the argument, detectives said the suspect shot the victim. The suspect got away before officers got there.
Harris' arrest comes after the U.S. Marshals recently offered $5,000 for information leading to his capture.
