CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A Chesapeake man was arrested on a murder charge following a "road rage incident" on South Military Highway on Friday, authorities announced.
In a release, the Chesapeake Police Department said Leonard Parker, 55, is accused of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The charges stem from a shooting at the South Military Highway and Canal Drive intersection at around 5:40 a.m. Friday.
The shooting left Derrick Knight, 51, of Chesapeake dead.
Police have not said what led up to the incident or if Parker and Knight knew each other.
