NORFOLK, Va. — A man accused of carrying a gun inside a building on Old Dominion University's campus earlier this month has been captured in North Carolina, Bertie County deputies said.

On the night of Sept. 10, ODU police said a man with a gun was in the Webb University Center on the university's Norfolk campus. While officers did not find the man, police shared security footage showing the suspect. He was later identified as 19-year-old Quashon Morgan.

According to the Bertie County Sheriff's Office, Morgan was staying at a home on Tony's Lane in Windsor, North Carolina. That's where agents with the Down East Drug and Violent Crime Task Force located Morgan on the afternoon of Sept. 23, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Morgan is charged with committing an act of terror, brandishing a firearm, and reckless handling of a firearm.

Deputies said he is currently being held without bond at the Bertie Martin Regional Jail and is awaiting extradition to Virginia.
