NORFOLK, Va. — Old Dominion University's police chief is asking for the public's help finding a man who is accused of carrying a gun inside a building on campus earlier this month.

In a message to the campus community Thursday, Chief Garrett Shelton said that ODUPD had identified 19-year-old Quashon Morgan as the suspect in the incident on Sept. 10.

Police received reports around 10:15 p.m. that evening that a man with a gun was in the Webb University Center. While responding officers did not find the man, police shared security footage showing the suspect.

ODUPD have obtained criminal charges for Morgan related to the incident.

Investigators are seeking any information related to his whereabouts. Tips can be reported anonymously to ODUPD at 757-683-4000 (911 from campus phones) or through the LiveSafe app.
