KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. — A man accused of indecent exposure and secret peeping in Kill Devil Hills — and evading arrest on those charges — was arrested in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Sunday, police said.
According to the Kill Devil Hills Police Department, Jackie Ray Price, 48, surrendered himself to Winston-Salem police after his location was narrowed to that area "thanks to the assistance of the public."
Price faces one count of felony indecent exposure, seven counts of misdemeanor secret peeping and seven counts of felony secret peeping to create a photographic image, according to police. His arrest comes days after the Kill Devil Hills Police Department announced they were looking for him.

Price went missing on May 8, 2023, around the time he was being investigated in connection to two incidents from the month before. A suicide note was found at his residence but no body, police said.
The investigation began on April 6, 2023, when officers responded to a reported indecent exposure at a McDonald's restaurant. Several days later, on April 13, officers responded to a reported "peeping Tom" at the Cavalier Motel.
Four of the victims were women — ages 33, 43, 51 and 63 — and one was a 14-year-old. According to the police department, the suspect left before law enforcement arrived in both situations.
During the investigation, police identified Price as a potential suspect and recovered seven videos of women inside their hotel rooms at the Cavalier from his seized cell phone.
After Price's location was narrowed down, the Winston-Salem Police Department did several knock-and-talks, followed up on leads and conducted overnight surveillance at places where he may have been hiding, according to Kill Devil Hills police.
"Our investigators are confident that the relentless effort of WSPD ultimately led Mr. Price to surrender himself," the Kill Devil Hills Police Department wrote in a news release.
The Kill Devil Hills Police Department said Price surrendered himself around 3 p.m. on Sunday and was placed under a total bond of $405,000. His first court date is scheduled for Feb. 19 in Dare County.
