WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Police said a man is in custody, days after a hit-and-run crash that had been spurred by road rage in James City County.
It happened shortly before 7 a.m. Monday, beginning on Interstate 64 and ending in the 4100 block of Rochambeau Drive.
Investigators said a gray 1995 Nissan had begun to intentionally ram another vehicle on I-64 multiple times. The victim exited onto Croaker Road but was pursued by the suspect, who continued ramming into the victim.
The victim's car ultimately overturned, while the suspect abandoned the Nissan into a ditch and fled on foot. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
On Thursday, police arrested 51-year-old Brian Lemons and charged him with felony hit and run, reckless driving, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing, and Lemons could face additional charges.
