WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Police said a hit-and-run crash Monday morning in James City County was the result of a road rage incident, and that the suspect is still on the run.

Emergency responders were called to the 4100 block of Rochambeau Drive shortly before 7 a.m. for a report of a two-vehicle accident.

Investigators said a gray 1995 Nissan began intentionally ramming into another vehicle on Interstate 64 multiple times. The victim exited onto Croaker Road, but was pursued by the suspect, who continued ramming into the victim.

The victim's car ultimately overturned, while the suspect abandoned the Nissan into a ditch and fled on foot.

Police said the suspect was described as a Black man with a light complexion who was wearing a red flannel shirt, khaki pants, and a brown hat. He was last seen running away toward the Croaker Road Park & Ride lot.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
