Investigators looking to identify man who may know identity of child sexual assault victim, Norfolk FBI says

NORFOLK, Va. — Federal investigators are looking to identify a man who may know the identity of a child sexual assault victim.

According to the FBI Norfolk Field Office, a video recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children shows the man, John Doe 48. It is believed that the video was produced in October 2023.

Investigators believe the man is between 45 and 65 years old. Photos depict the man as having dark hair, a gray beard and tattoos on each of his forearms.

The FBI said the person's location isn't known, so the agency is disseminating information nationwide.

The law enforcement agency noted that no one has been charged in this case and the pictured person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Anyone with information about the man's identity can submit a tip to the FBI's website or call the FBI's tip line at 1-800-225-5324.
