Just six inches of water can cause your car to stall and for you to lose control. Let's say there's a dip in the road and the six inches turns into a foot of water, and that amount of water can cause your car to float. At that point, you have no steering and no control over how fast you go.
When it comes to a road with two feet of water, that amount of water can wash away most vehicles. What started as a costly problem with a stalled car can quickly turn dangerous and even deadly.
Does your car insurance cover your car if you accidentally drive through a flooded road? The answer is it depends. You must have Comprehensive Coverage on your vehicle for insurance to pay for a flood-damaged car. If you don't, it's all on your dime.
