NORFOLK, Va. — 13News Now has declared a Weather Alert Day for Wednesday due to the hot temperatures outside.

Excessive heat and humidity continue Wednesday, and we've extended the Weather Alert Day for another day.

Most spots away from the water will be in the middle 90s, while it will be closer to 90° along the coast. With high levels of humidity, and dew points in the mid to upper 70s, heat indices will reach 105°.

A Heat Advisory will once again be in effect Wednesday, from 11 AM until 8 PM.

Practice heat safety. Stay hydrated, take frequent breaks, and seek shade and air conditioning when possible.
