VIRGINIA, USA — An arctic cold front made its way through Virginia and North Carolina Sunday evening, ushering in colder air. Meanwhile, a weak slug of energy is tracking behind this front. This has lead to northern parts of the area seeing some snow, while southern areas are seeing just rain. And, unfortunately, for snow-lovers, the rain/snow line is moving north.
As expected, this will not be an impactful storm for our area at all. While there is the chance that some back decks and yards could get a brief, slushy accumulation on the Middle Peninsula or Eastern Shore, warm air and rain would melt the snow sway. Areas north and west of Richmond will see the best chances for accumulating snow.
