The National Weather Service issued a statement that there is a possibility for coastal flooding on Sunday.

Coastal flooding has also been possible in certain areas this afternoon.

Starting this evening, residents who live in areas more prone to flooding dangers are allowed to move their cars to a higher location starting at 6 p.m. in the York Street Garage at 215 West York Street.

Cars that choose to park in the York Street Garage are asked to not take reserved spaces and to remove their car by 9 a.m. on Monday.

All parking garages at Old Dominion University will also be accessible, as long as the vehicle is removed by Monday morning if it doesn't have an ODU Parking Permit.

If you have been impacted by moderate to severe coastal flooding this weekend, please submit your photos to us on the 13News Now app.

As always, please do not drive through flooded water.
