Z104 collecting donations for those affected by Hurricane Helene in NC

Shaggy and co-host Natalia will be driving down to Asheville on Thursday at noon with the donations collected.

NORFOLK, Va. — After seeing the devastation in North Carolina this weekend after Hurricane Helene, Shaggy from Z104 told his management he wanted to start a collection of food and supplies for the folks in NC affected by Helene.

But there was a larger goal as well. Shaggy and his co-host Natalia not only want to collect items, but will aim to deliver it to Asheville and drop it off at their friend's radio station there, where it will be distributed to the folks who need it.

The collections started this morning, and they will be taking donations during office hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 2.

They will also take supplies anytime in the morning on Thursday, until they leave at noon, when they will drive 6 and a half hours to Asheville, NC.

People interested in donating can just show up or DM either Shaggy or Natalia on social media.

Items recommended for donation include water, toiletries, medicine, pet food, diapers, baby formula, and non-perishable food.

The address for Z104, where the donations are being taken, is 236 Clearfield Ave. Suite 206 in Virginia Beach.
