NORFOLK, Va. — Well, Norfolk, just like that it feels like summer!
The official high on Monday at Norfolk International Airport climbed to 90°, which is 20° warmer than normal for the middle of April!
Our first 90° day of the year is notable for many reasons. Typically, the first 90° day comes around May 18, and last year we didn't see 90° until July 1.
So this year's came two and a half months earlier!
When looking back at the first 90° days in the past, this year's came at the earliest date since 2010 and was the warmest day in Norfolk since September 8, 2023!
Monday's 90° temperature also broke the record high for April 15th of 89° from 1941.
