UPDATE: As of 5:16 p.m., the roadway was open and operating normally.
Virginia State Police temporarily closed Virginia State Route 10 at Route 627 in Surry County due to downed power lines.
That's near Pooles Funeral Home.
According to a release, the cab of a tractor trailer detached from its vehicle and ran off the roadway, which tore up the lines.
Dominion Energy was sent to assess damage at the scene.
