SUFFOLK, Va. — A school bus collision in Suffolk left three people hurt Wednesday afternoon, according to city officials.
The collision happened at the intersection of Nansemond Parkway and Sleepy Hole Road, which is right by Nansemond River High School, and involved the bus and a passenger vehicle.
Dispatchers got the call shortly after 3:30 p.m.
The three people hurt had injuries that were considered non-life-threatening. A juvenile that was hurt was released to their parent, while medicals took another juvenile and the passenger vehicle driver to a hospital.
Suffolk Public Schools is working for another ride for the rest of the students on the bus. Nansemond Parkway is closed in both directions right now.
The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
