YORK COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police say a man has died after his motorcycle went off the road and struck a ditch.
The accident happened around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday on Waterview Road, east of Hornsbyville Road. Investigators say 31-year-old Andrew Joseph Forrest was traveling west on Waterview Road on his 2007 Harley Davidson when he went off the roadway and into a ditch.
Forrest was taken to Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday morning.
Police say neither alcohol nor speed were factors in the crash.
