NORFOLK, Va. — Police said a man has died after being in a motorcycle crash Tuesday evening.
According to a tweet from the Norfolk Police Department, the crash happened on the 1900 block of Lafayette Boulevard, which is at the intersection of Tidewater Drive. It involved a motorcycle and a car.
Police received the call at 6:15 p.m.
Officers said when they arrived they found a motorcyclist, 56-year-old Mattew T. Kulik, from Norfolk, who was seriously hurt. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the car did not get hurt and remained on the scene, police said.
The incident is still under investigation by the Norfolk Police Department's Traffic Unit.
