WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Eight students from James Blair Middle School in Williamsburg got minor injuries in a bus crash Friday morning, a school spokesperson confirmed to 13News Now.
Williamsburg-James City County Schools spokesperson Kara Wall said the bus crash was minor and involved one other vehicle. It happened at the intersection of Page Street and Lafayette Street in Williamsburg around 8 a.m.
Of the 30 James Blair Middle students on the bus, eight reported minor injuries and were evaluated at the scene, according to Wall.
Wall explained that "out of an abundance of caution and at parent request, the eight students were transported to Riverside for further evaluation."
13News Now also reached out to Williamsburg police for more information but didn't hear back by the time this article was published.
