SUFFOLK, Va. — Drivers traveling toward Suffolk on Interstate 64 should plan for delays on the High Rise Bridge Tuesday morning.
Between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, an eastbound lane on the bridge will be closed, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) warns.
The temporary closure is part of the High Rise Bridge Project that aims to widen nearly nine miles of the interstate by adding additional lanes.
Drivers are encouraged to plan extra time for their commute and to stay up-to-date on closures by either downloading the 511 Virginia smartphone app, visiting the VDOT website or dial 511.
