VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Police say a bicyclist died late Saturday night in a collision with a vehicle in Virginia Beach.
Around 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about a crash in the 900 block of General Booth Blvd., according to Ricky LaBlue, a spokesman for the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD).
The bicyclist, later identified as 34-year-old Christopher Malik of Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police do not intend to file charges, at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
