HAMPTON, Va. — A heads up for drivers taking the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel: unplanned road work will temporarily shut down all eastbound lanes on Monday.
A spokesperson for the HRBT Expansion Project said the closure is needed for crews to remove an overhead sign structure on the Willoughby Bay Bridge.
Eastbound traffic is being diverted at Settlers Landing Road in Hampton.
VDOT officials have not said how long the road closure is expected to last at this time.
