HAMPTON ROADS WEEKLY LANE CLOSURE REPORT
For the week of October 16, 2015 through October 23, 2015
- I-64 Widening Segment I, Newport News: Single-lane closures westbound October 18 as early as 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Single-lane closures eastbound and westbound October 19-22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. All work will take place between Lee Hall and Fort Eustis Boulevard, and one lane will remain open to traffic at all times. For more information, visit I-64 Widening Segment I website.
- US-17 James River Bridge: Full stoppage scheduled northbound and southbound October 18 from 12 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Intermittent traffic stoppages will last 10 minutes.
- I-64 Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel: Single-lane closure westbound October 18-22 as early as 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. One lane will remain open to traffic.
- I-664 Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel: Single-lane closure northbound October 20 from 12 a.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning and October 20-23 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Single-lane closure southbound October 20 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. One lane will remain open to traffic.
- I-64 High Rise Bridge: Single-lane closures eastbound and westbound October 19-22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. One lane will remain open to traffic.
- I-264 Downtown Tunnel: The eastbound tunnel will be closed for rehabilitation the weekend of October 16-19 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Please check Elizabeth River Tunnels website for the latest closure/detour information.
- US-13 Northampton Boulevard On-Ramp to I-64 East, Virginia Beach: Southbound Northampton Boulevard on-ramp to I-64 eastbound will be closed nightly October 19-20 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
- I-264 East/West, Virginia Beach: Full stoppage eastbound and westbound scheduled October 22 between 12 a.m. until 1 a.m. between Independence Boulevard and Rosemont Road due to super load movement.
- I-264 West Off-Ramp to Lynnhaven Parkway South, Virginia Beach: Ramp 19A closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Drivers will be detoured to Rosemont Road.
- I-464 North (Before Berkley Bridge): Single-lane closure northbound October 16-18 from 9 p.m. until as late as 9 a.m. the following morning. One lane will remain open to traffic.
- I-464 North On-Ramp to I-264 West Downtown Tunnel: Ramp will be closed October 19-21 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Detour in place.
- I-64 East/West, Norfolk: Single-lane closure eastbound and westbound October 21 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning between 4th View Street and Tidewater Drive. One lane will remain open to traffic.
- I-264 and I-64 Pavement Rehabilitation, Norfolk and Virginia Beach: Multiple lane and ramp closures throughout day/night as weather conditions permit. - George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17), York County: Crews are widening the road between Route 630 (Wolf Trap Road) and Route 706 (Hampton Highway). Work includes traffic shifts and weeknight single-lane closures, from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. For more about this project, please visit the Route 17 Widening website.
- I-95 in Sussex County: Single-lane closures between Exits 17-33 October 18-22 from 6:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. One lane will remain open at all times.
- Route 35 Bridge to Courtland, Southampton County: The Bridge is now open. For more information, visit Route 35 Bridge Replacement website.
- Route 602 Bridge (Longview Drive), Isle of Wight County: Bridge closed for replacement on Monday, May 4, 2015. Closure will last until November 2015. For detour information, visit theRoute 602 project page.
- Route 301 South Bridge (Sussex Drive), Greensville County: Bridge closed for replacement on May 18, 2015. Closure will last until summer of 2017. For detour information, visit the Route 301 project page.
