Two crashes on Interstate 64 Westbound have caused major delays for drivers Thursday morning.
According to Virginia State Police, the first crash happened 5:40 a.m. near 227-mile marker on Tidewater Drive, involving two vehicles. They sustained property damage.
VSP said those vehicles were removed from the interstate around 6:45 a.m.
The second crash happened around 6:06 a.m. on I-64 W at the Little Creek Road exit. This crash also involved two vehicles; two rescue vehicles are enroute to this scene, VSP said.
According to VDOT cameras, all west lanes are closed and the east left shoulder, left lane, and center lane are also closed. Traffic is backed up for at least 4 miles.
