HAMPTON, Va. — A crash on Interstate 64 in Hampton near the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) stalled traffic in both directions Sunday.
Virginia State Police (VSP) said the two-vehicle collision happened in the westbound lanes near mile marker 237 at around 11:41 a.m. As of 1:26 p.m., VDOT reports traffic was backed up for 1.5 miles.
One person was hurt but is expected to survive, according to VSP.
VSP did not release details about what led up the crash, saying it remains under investigation.
