It includes experiments involving static electricity, liquid nitrogen, and plasmas.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — If you're looking for an electrifying lesson in science, Jefferson Lab is hosting a free educational series throughout the school year!

Physics Fest is a two-hour presentation that includes a brief interactive summary of the science and technology at the lab followed by experiments involving static electricity, liquid nitrogen, and plasmas.

All ages are welcome, but the series is geared toward middle school students in particular.

Seating is limited, so teachers need to visit Jefferson Lab's website to register for Physics Fest.
