According to the official roster released by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced on July 10, 592 athletes representing 46 states make up Team USA for the Olympic Games this year.

Team USA's list includes each athlete's recognized hometown. It shows that 15 of those athletes are from Virginia, and three are from right here in Hampton Roads. And one other closely-watched athlete in this year's Olympics also lived in Hampton Roads for a time.
