Chesapeake's Grant Holloway has done something that no one has done in his event. He easily won the men's 110m hurdles in a time of 12.96 seconds in the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials from Eugene, Oregon on Thursday night. It's the second time in four days in which he's run a sub-13. The other on Monday in a time of 12.92.
The former Grassfield High product, who ran at the University of Florida, is seeking gold in the event for the first time in the upcoming Paris Olympics next month.
"I'm just trying to channel that inner-monster," he said after the race.
Holloway won silver in the Tokyo Games in 2021. He now moves on to the finals on Friday night.
