Norfolk's Davis gets set for next big bout from Las Vegas

Keyshawn Davis will face Jose Pedraza on Thursday night from Las Vegas not too far from Super Bowl LVIII.

Super Bowl LVIII isn't the only thing happening from Las Vegas, Nevada this week. It's also the return to the ring for Norfolk native lightweight boxer, Keyshawn Davis. The "Businessman" (9-0, 6 knockouts) will take on Jose "Sniper" Pedraza (29-5-1, 14 knockouts) from Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Thursday.

Davis, who's coming off a suspension for smoking marijuana after his last fight, says no matter who's in front of him, he's always driven.

"I could 50-0. I could be 100-0 and I'm always going to be it's not enough", he said. "I'm not there yet. It's not enough".

Davis says the 34 year old Pedraza, who's from Puerto Rico, has the credentials and a win over him would put him in the room for higher aspirations that includes world titles.

"Pedraza has fought a lot of guys", he says. "He's a former world champion. He's one of those guys that when I do beat him, I'm gonna be at that level."

The fight itself is an undercard and would get started just after 10:30pm eastern.
