NORFOLK, Va. — If you missed the Savannah Bananas games in Norfolk earlier this year, here's some good news. Banana Ball is returning to Harbor Park next summer!
Banana Ball is a version of baseball with the rules adjusted to make the game go faster. It also can include crowd involvement and planned entertainment, like choreographed dances and costumes.
Right now there are just four teams that play Banana Ball: the Savannah Bananas, the Party Animals, the Firefighters and the Tailgaters.
The Tides shared a post on social media Thursday night, announcing that the Firefighters and the Party Animals will take to the baseball diamond in Norfolk for three days of dancing, music, and of course, baseball.
The games are set for July 24 through 26.
You have until November 1 to enter the ticket lottery for the game.
