Mark Reynolds calls it a career

The First Colonial HS and UVA alum had quite the power stroke over his 13 year career.

NORFOLK, Va. — Mark Reynolds always had that power stroke. In the end he'll settle for an MLB career total of 298 homers as he announced his retirement on Thursday.

Reynolds is 36 years old and spent 13 years in the bigs with 8 different teams.

His best years came with the Arizona Diamondbacks. In 2009 he slugged a career best 44 homers. He went deep over 30 times in four different seasons.
