NORFOLK, Va. — Fresh off their first playoff appearance in a decade, the Norfolk Admirals start off their season on Friday. They'll take on Adirondack. It's the same team that knocked them out of the playoffs back in the spring.
The two game set starts at 7:05pm for both games. Players were happy to be back on the ice.
"The beginning of hockey season is always exciting", says defenseman Carson Musser. "Ask any player and I think they'd tell you the same".
Norfolk returns 12 players from last season in which they finished second in the ECHL North Division. "I think guys want to build upon what they did", says head coach Jeff Carr. "There's a lot of guys motivated individually and collectively right now".
Forward Keegan Iverson likes the makeup of this year's squad. "Got a great group of guys this year", he says. "We're ready to get going on Friday".
