A pair of city showdowns happening on the Southside on Friday night. Lake Taylor got 19 points from Aaron Elliott to go with 11 assists for the Titans (15-0) as they stormed past Booker T. Washington 92-58. Elijah Washington added 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Shahide Battle had 13 points.
In a battle for Portsmouth, Quimar Crittenden had 13 points, four assists and three rebounds for Churchland (11-6) as they won big over Norcom (6-9) 48-28. Sincere Jones got nine points and eight rebounds for the Truckers.
