Harvin out of retirement with the Bills

Wide receiver Percy Harvin is exiting retirement to rejoin the Buffalo Bills, Harvin’s agent confirmed to USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday.

Harvin agreed to a one-year deal with the Bills, his agent Greg Barnett said in a text message.

Harvin, plagued by a hip injury, played five games with the Bills last season before he was placed in injured reserve. The 28-year-old former Pro Bowl receiver announced his retirement in August.

Harvin spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, who drafted Harvin 22nd overall in the 2009 NFL Draft. He won a Super Bowl as a member of the Seattle Seahawks, returning the opening second-half kickoff for a touchdown in a 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos in February 2014.

There will now be four Hampton Roads natives on the Bills offensive roster. That includes: Harvin, Tyrod Taylor, EJ Manuel and Justin Hunter.
