Weeks since entering the transfer portal upon the end of ODU's season, Norfolk native LaMareon James confirmed with 13 Sports Director Brian Smith on Saturday evening that he is transferring to TCU.
The former Indian River Brave started all 13 games at cornerback and kick returner this season, finished sixth on the team with 59 tackles, and tied for the Sun Belt lead with four fumble recoveries. In his best game of the year, James returned a fumble for an 80-yard touchdown and an interception for a 66-yard touchdown against Wake Forest.
James, who turned down multiple Power 5 schools and enrolled at ODU of his love for his hometown, will now carry out his football career with the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth.
